Sex Offender Compliance Officer
The Sex Offender Compliance Officer is a multifaceted operation assuring that all parolees, probationers, and discharged registered sex offenders stay in compliance with the Sex Offender Registration Program. The unit provides law enforcement assistance to parole officers, probation officers (including out of parish and state officers), monitoring registered sex offenders, monitors discharged sex offenders, and conducts compliance checks.
The division disseminates pertinent registered sex offender information to law enforcement assisting in and conducting criminal investigations on registered sex offenders who are not in compliance with the Sex Offender Registration Program.
Sex offenders can register with Lt. Pittman by appointment Monday thru Friday 8AM to 4PM at 920 Main Street.
